Grossi Maglioni
Beast Mother, Birthing Positions

The workshop is part of the Beast Mother project, which explores the transfor mative potential of maternal care work. Birth, its iconography and the social norms sedimented in it are the subjects of the workshop. Prehistoric finds, ancient mytho logy and science fiction will be related to the concrete (or imagined) experience of bearing a child. Birth positions will be explored and assembled as fabric silhou ettes into a temporary collective sculpture.

The workshop is aimed at people who have given birth or will give birth or those who want to engage with this experience, Eng., on-site childcare – please register.
